Aleelah Dixon & Emily Madison – Author Page

Aleelah Dixon (they/them) and Emily Madison (she/her) have written a book together, but separately. They are also partners in life. Best known locally for their photography, coffee consumption and long, draw-out diatribes on the nature of humanity. What began as a college love affair with words (and each other) is now a story told from both sides. They live and thrive in San Francisco, with their dogs Tasha and Hank, and their 12-year-old car (yes, car), Sally.

Together, they have written When the Truth is Done. This unique novel features the same crime investigation from two different perspectives: Ruby and Francine. Francine is a Homicide Detective who, along with her partner Scott O’Reilly, investigates a bloody murder and end up at Ruby’s bedside. Is she a witness, a killer or an innocent bystander caught up in a complex web of betrayal and deceit?
